Custom Built-ins and Fireplace Feature Wall

For this custom built-in project, we designed and installed white bookcases that flank the fireplace, adding both functional storage and architectural interest to the space. The fireplace wall features clean white shiplap, creating a bright, timeless backdrop. A distressed wood mantel shelf was added to bring warmth, texture, and natural contrast to the overall design.

Material Selection

Every material for this project was carefully chosen to achieve a clean, classic look that fits seamlessly with the home’s style. The custom built-ins were constructed for durability and precision fit, with a smooth white finish that complements the surrounding trim and finishes. The shiplap adds subtle texture, while the distressed wood mantel introduces a natural element that balances the crisp, white design.

From the even spacing of the shiplap boards to the precise installation of each shelf and trim piece, careful craftsmanship was applied throughout the build. Every joint, edge, and reveal was meticulously finished to ensure clean lines, symmetry, and a polished final result that enhances the entire living space.
